| Alexandr, San Sanych, or just Sasha is the founder of the group, its perpetuum mobile, its moving spirit and permanent leader. He is 47 (01/26/53), 35 of which he has been playing guitar. Since his childhood he has seen himself playing banjo, though his fingers touched a real instrument much later. That meeting with his five string dream occurred 14 years ago and resulted in foundation of a bluegrass group, first and sole in Smolensk. Creator of the "Countrybandists" and of two daughters, he is a person able to evoke the maddest hopes, which are bound nevertheless to come true. Full of ideas and conscience of self indispensability, he is fond of music of all styles, especially, of the one which calls into action. Alexandr is a teacher of physical training by profession, but most part of life he has been working with various musical bands as a guitar player at restaurants. Accomplished womanizer, he is faithful to one passion - music. A perfect dancer and a showman, he is famous as a wedding entertainer. Every young couple planning to get married think it first thing to invite him to arrange a smooth going and amusing wedding party. Alexandr is an inventive video film maker. His wedding video films are a success with those who is lucky to employ him. Noisy and hot-tempered at the rehearsals, Naumov is silent and gentle when good music rules the ball. Besides guitar and banjo, he plays harmonica and sings. |
